“Don’t go in the basement. Don’t turn on the lights. Come to PHIT this Halloween for family-friendly frights.”
Halloween and cult classics, go together like Freeform and Hocus Pocus marathons. Still, it gives us the opportunity to relive our childhood memories and create new ones at the same time. Philly Improv Theater, has created a show that combines improv comedy and R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps! Philly Improv Theater presents, “An Improvised Goosebumps.” The family-friendly show takes place at PHIT on October 20, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Tickets are currently $5; they can be purchased at the door and online on their Eventbrite page.
Pulling from the themes and ideas of the beloved children’s books and tv series of the same name, Improvised Goosebumps will create a show full of creepies and crawlies and monsters and magic appropriate for all ages. You, the audience, give the title at the top of the show and the goosebumps get improvised right before your wide eyes.
There will be 3 additional shows, October 27 at 12:00p.m. & 6:00p.m.. and October 28 at 7:00p.m. Each show creates an opportunity a uniquely different experience. You may want to consider going more than once to see how each show differs.
