It is happening…it is really happening!
Sometimes I think we need take a moment to fully grasp that we are actually getting a Captain Marvel film.
Though we saw Brie Larson rocking the Captain Marvel suit back in the beginning of the year it has been revealed that those images were from Avengers 4 and now Captain Marvel is officially in production!
The film is set in the ’90s and has a list of MCU characters that will be making a comeback or I guess in this case an introduction. We already knew that Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury will be making an appearance in the film but Marvel has now confirmed that Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson, Djimon Hounsou’s Korath the Pursuer, and Lee Pace’s Ronan the Accuser will all be reprising their roles in Captain Marvel!
We also now have an official synopsis for the film! Check it out below…
The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But the most powerful (I LOVE THAT LINE IN THE SYNOPSIS!) reveal from Captain Marvel is this image of Larson with Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt, 57th Wing Commander, at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
Larson has been undergoing pilot training for the film seeing that “one of the universe’s most powerful heroes” is an Air Force pilot!
Captain Marvel is slated to hit theaters as a March 2019 release!
