Electromagnet Captain America Shield in Action

Electromagnetic Arm made to catch Cap's Shield!

YouTube channel, The Hacksmith, makes it a habit to create real life versions of comic book and movie weapons. This time they took on Cap’s shield! Not just any incarnation made of metal but one that works with an electromagnet arm brace like in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

You can see the initial build of the electromagnet brace here:

But you can’t get a Cap shield and make an electromagnetic arm brace without putting it through it’s paces! The Hacksmith takes the shield that they got from Machina Props and tested it quite thoroughly! Throwing everything they can at it, lifting things with the magnetic arm, and smashing everything possible with the edge of the shield. It’s really quite impressive and fun to watch!

I’ve always wanted my own Cap shield and you can believe that when the time comes I will be running it through its paces before I mount that sucker on my wall.

Judging from a little teaser at the end of the second video, it looks like we’ll be seeing an Iron Man experiment coming up next, so stay tuned for that!

Christian Rivera

Long ago in a land covered in Dragonball Z websites there was a pile of rubble amidst a destroyed cityscape. The pile shook and the ashes rose from the ground slowly then suddenly beams of light arose from the mound of rock and debris. Christian Rivera then bursted out of this cement cage with fire of a thousand suns, yelling for no apparent reason but somehow it made him stronger. He kept yelling, incessantly, actually, until someone said "Hey, hey, calm down!" and so he did. When the dust settled he began his career as a writer, designer and producer with a mostly okay power level.
