Merc With A Movie: Deadpool Film Officially Announced

20th Century Fox officially announced the release date of the long-awaited Deadpool film. Many fans had given up on the idea of a Deadpool film, thanks to the graphic nature of all things Deadpool.

The film is slated for February 16, 2016, so we have just over 16 months to wait for what is sure to be a great movie. There are some serious rumors that Ryan Reynolds will star as the antihero Deadpool/Wade Wilson, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Reynolds previously played Wilson in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” but the character was erased from existence after the events of “Days of Future Past” (which is probably for the best).

The film will be directed by Tom Miller in his directorial debut.
